He began DJing at the age of 16 with his brother doing parties and weddings which provided him with the funds needed to purchase those expensive US imports from the various specialist record shops in and around London. At the age of 18 Nick began DJing on the East End of London pub circuit and landed his first residency at Maylands Golf Club in Essex. In between gigs Nick attended various soul nights hosted by the likes of Greg Edwards, Chris Hill and Jeff Young where he learnt a lot from watching these guys first hand. He also became a Caister regular. As Nick's reputation grew, residencies followed at Daniels nightclub in Hornchurch, Flappers in Hackney, The Reservation club, The Tudor Lodge wine bar in Romford, also aRBeez in Ilford. Nick's radio career began when he answered an advertisement for volunteer presenters on hospital radio at Goodmayes Hospital. He then presented various soul music programmes on Brentwood FM and Link FM. Nick then landed a slot on Solar Radio presenting a Saturday night show, often doing 4 hour slots.
